Services & Prices

All call outs start with a full bicycle health check, checking all aspects of your bicycle and recommending required action. To avoid frustration I do not give quotes (or even vague estimations) without carrying out a full check first.

Below is a list of services available and guide prices. Deals are available for students and those on low incomes.

There is a minimum charge of £10 per call out. This includes a full bicycle health check and the first 20 minutes labour.

All work carries a 1 month guarantee

Basic Service - £30
  • Gears serviced (new cables fitted as required - parts not included in price)
  • Brakes serviced (new cables / pads fitted as required - parts not included in price)
  • Minor wheel truing
  • Tyres inflated to correct pressure
  • Seatpost greased & refitted
  • All moving parts lubricated
  • All bolts checked for tightness
  • Bearings Checked (wheels, bottom bracket, headset)
  • Full bicycle health check
  • Test ride

    • Full Service - £50
  • Gears serviced (new cables fitted as required - parts not included in price)
  • Brakes serviced (new cables / pads fitted as required - parts not included in price)
  • Wheels trued
  • Tyres inflated to correct pressure
  • Seatpost greased & refitted
  • All moving parts lubricated
  • All bolts checked for tightness
  • All bearings serviced (wheels, bottom bracket, headset)
  • Bike cleaned and degreased
  • Worn parts replaced as required (parts not included in price - major component changes will incur additional costs)
  • Full bicycle health check
  • Test ride

    • Brake Service - £15
  • Replace cables as required (parts not included in price)
  • Lubricate & grease cables
  • Replace / resurface brake blocks
  • Lubricate and grease brake pivots and levers
  • Adjust brakes for optimum performance

    • Gear Service - £15
  • Clean & degrease drivetrain
  • Replace cables as required (parts not included in price)
  • Lubricate & grease cables
  • Lubricate freewheel / freehub as necessary
  • Lubricate front & rear derailleur pivots and levers
  • Lubricate chain
  • Inspect chain, sprockets and chainset for wear
  • Adjust front and rear derailleurs for optimum performance

    • Headset Service - £15
  • Remove headset bearings and check for damaged surfaces
  • Re-grease and replace bearings or fit new headset if required

    • Bottom Bracket Service - £15
  • Remove bottom bracket and check for wear
  • Clean frame threads
  • Re-grease and replace with new bearings (if loose bearings) or fit new bottom bracket if required

    • New bike build from box - £25
  • Assemble bicycle and carry out full safety check including a test ride

    • Wheel truing (pair or wheels) - £10

    Puncture repair (includes new inner tube) - £10

    Full puncture repair tools & how-to lesson - £20
  • I will teach you how to repair a puncture so that you are confident to do it yourself
  • Price includes a full set of repair tools (pump, innertube, tyre levers, puncture repair kit)

    • Wheel building (each) - £20

    Nominal Labour Cost (per hour) - £20

    All other work, including fitting new parts, will be charged based on the amount of time it takes rather than having a fixed price for each item
